A new map is putting America’s moving patterns in sharp focus.
The Tax Foundation analyzed newly released IRS migration data showing where taxpayers moved between 2022 and 2023, using returns filed in calendar years 2022 and 2023.
The data shows continued movement toward the South and Sun Belt, with major gains for states including Texas, Florida, North Carolina, South Carolina, and Tennessee.

An Ecuadorian man living in Connecticut could spend decades in prison after federal prosecutors say he deposited two fake US Treasury checks and moved $80,000.
Edison Jovanny Duta Pindo, 43, of Danbury, was indicted by a federal grand jury in New Haven last year. Authorities located and arrested him in Danbury on July 16, the US Department of Justice announced on Monday, Aug. 10.
The case involves bank activity in Newtown, Brookfield and Bethel.

Raw Oysters At Steakhouse Left Firefighter With Permanent Brain Damage, Lawsuit Says
A father, ex-Marine, and firefighter suffered cardiac arrest and a permanent brain injury after eating raw oysters at a popular Chicago steakhouse chain, according to a newly filed lawsuit.
The lawsuit was filed on behalf of Joe Belgio on Monday, Aug. 10, in Cook County Circuit Court, IL, against Gibsons Steakhouse - Oak Brook, LLC, GRG Holdings, Supreme Lobster and Seafood Company, Taylor Shellfish Company, and other defendants.
